Terms of Service
Last updated: October 2026
These terms govern your use of Starpod. They're written to be read. By using the Service, you agree to them. If you don't, please don't use the Service.
What we see, and the four exceptions
What you share with Starpod stays with Starpod. Four exceptions, stated up front:
· your life in imminent danger
· a third party’s life in imminent danger
· legal obligation (rare)
· internal oversight: Our team is made of people and AI agents, and they may read some of what reaches them, for security and quality. Our AI agents run on Claude, by Anthropic, in the United States. What can reach the team: the short notes your pod sends when it needs help (the kind of work, the number of attempts and a reason of 160 characters at most, written by the pod’s agent), what you choose to send to the team by email, and the transcripts of our AI agents’ work sessions, which may contain your words. We do not enter your pod to read your data. The administrator account of the server could technically read it; your panel lists these ways in and says which ones leave no record.
Starpod never negotiates these exceptions mid-conversation, even if you ask. No absolute secret, and that is what protects you.
1. Acceptance of terms
By creating an account or using Starpod (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you’re using the Service on behalf of someone else, you confirm you’re authorized to accept these terms for them.
2. What Starpod is
Starpod gives you your pod: an AI agent that builds and delivers for your business (sites, pages, campaigns, images and more). Your pod is isolated: it runs on its own computer in the cloud, for you alone.
It is a software service, not a person and not a licensed professional. We promise you no result: not more clients, not more revenue.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using it, you confirm that you are.
4. Your account and sign-in
You sign in with a magic link sent to your email: there’s no password. You’re responsible for keeping access to your email account secure, since anyone with the link can sign in. Tell us at contact@starpod.ai if you suspect unauthorized access.
5. Acceptable use
Use the Service lawfully and in good faith. You agree not to use Starpod to break the law, to harm or harass others, to attempt to break, overload, or reverse-engineer the Service, or to resell or impersonate it. We may suspend or end access that violates this.
6. Important: Starpod is not a licensed professional
Starpod is an AI. It is not a licensed medical, legal, financial, or mental-health professional, and nothing it says is professional advice. Use your own judgment, and consult a qualified professional for decisions that matter.
Starpod is not an emergency service. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services right now.
7. Intellectual property
The Service, its design, and its underlying software are owned by Starpod. We don’t claim ownership of the content of your conversations: that’s yours. You grant us only the limited permission needed to operate the Service for you (process, store, and recall your messages so the Service works).
8. Limitation of liability
The Service is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Starpod is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, and our total liability is limited to one hundred US dollars (USD $100). Nothing here limits liability that can’t be limited by law.
9. Termination
You can stop using the Service at any time. On your pod, you can ask to close your account. As soon as you ask, your account is read-only: you can still read and download your conversation, your requests and your receipts, but your pod takes no new request. Asking to close does not stop your subscription by itself: you stop it from your Starpod account, with the button "Stop my subscription". It is then not renewed: billing stops at the end of the period you have already paid for, and your pod stays open, read-only, until then. Your pod, your conversation, your requests, your receipts and your account are then deleted from the live service, with a receipt. If your latest invoice is unpaid when you stop your subscription, the subscription is cancelled immediately. You can also erase your account right away from your Starpod account, and then any subscription still open is cancelled immediately, before anything is erased. Days already paid are not refunded, except for The pod as section 10 says. Backup copies are not rewritten: they delete themselves as they rotate (see our Privacy Policy). We may suspend or end access if these terms are violated or if required by law.
10. Subscription, cancellation and refunds
Starpod is a monthly subscription. It is paid in advance, every month, and renews automatically until you cancel it. Prices are in US dollars, plus applicable taxes. You see the price of your plan on the payment page, before you pay.
You cancel it yourself, online, at any time, with no call and no reason to give. Your cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for: your service stays open until then, and nothing more is charged.
Only The pod can be refunded, during the first 30 days of your first subscription to it. The refund is prorated: it covers the days you have not used, minus the work your pod has already consumed (AI tokens). To ask for it, email us at contact@starpod.ai within those 30 days: they count from the day your first subscription to The pod starts to the day of your email. We pay it to your card within 7 days, and your pod stops when the refund is paid.
Mothership and Builder are not refundable: once used, AI tokens cannot be recovered.
There is no trial account: your trial is the first 30 days of The pod, refundable as described above.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we’ll update the date above and, for material changes, let you know. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the applicable laws of Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
